This is my 7th year teaching and my 6th year at Causey Middle School. I previously worked at Anna F. Booth and taught second grade. I came to Causey Middle School in 2019. West Mobile has always been considered home to me. I graduated from Baker High School in 2014, then continued my education at the University of South Alabama. In 2018, I became am a K-6 graduate with a certification in special education. I also graduated from the University of West Alabama with my master's in library media.
Dance has always been a part of me. My dance journey began with classes at Sheffield's School of Dance, and I furthered my training at Broadway South Dance Studio. Along with many classes, I danced at a competitive level and traveled all over the country with my company. I was also a part of Baker's Dance Team for four years. There is nothing like being on a dance team and I truly believe that is where my inspiration to teach dance came from. Dance is a passion of mine, and I enjoy educating, training, and pouring into my students each day at Causey Middle School.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends. I have the best husband, two amazing stepsons, a yellow lab named River, and a red goldendoodle puppy named Tuck. I enjoy eating Mexican food and Chick-fil-A, being at the beach and of course... counting down the days until dance competition season! I am excited for the 2024-2025 school year!
