Thank you for your continued support!

Parents, this is an important time for our students, and we need your support to help them do their very best. Please encourage your child to stay focused, confident, and motivated throughout each day of testing.
You can help set them up for success by ensuring they:
Get a good night’s rest
Eat a healthy breakfast
Arrive on time each morning ready for encouragement from their Data Cheerleader and classroom teacher.
Our students have been working hard all year, and now it’s time for them to show what they know. Together, let’s continue to support them as they soar high and make their mark on this year’s test!
Thank you for partnering with us to help our students succeed.

There will be no school for students on Friday, March 13th, and Monday, March 16th. One of these days will be a virtual learning day. The other will be a teacher work day.
Students will return to school on Tuesday, March 17, which marks the start of the 4th quarter.
Thank you!

Students are required across the entire district to have a clear bookbag every day. I have already stopped at least 20 students to enforce this rule. If your student needs a new clear bookbag, they are available for purchase in the office for $10. Also, the shoe policy has not changed. Students must wear ALL black shoes. We have seen students wearing white, yellow, and other colors, which are not permitted. Morningside's uniform policy remains the same.
Let’s continue setting the example for our students so they can grow into responsible, rule-following adults.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Read Across America Week is coming soon — March 2–6, 2026!
Have your students celebrate their love for reading each day by following the designated daily themes (See attached flyer). We are also asking for volunteers to come in and read to our Soaring Eagles. If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know. We look forward to a fun and engaging week of reading!

We will host our Wax Museum on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Please view the attached flyer for designated class times and the parent/family viewing time.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Dear Parents and Students,
It’s time to kick off ACAP testing in style!
Morningside is excited to host our annual Sneaker Ball — and this year we’re going all out with a Kentucky Derby theme! Students will still rock their fly sneakers, but we’re elevating the look with a more formal, Derby-inspired dress code. Think classy, colorful, and creative!
Event Details:
Cost: $15 (includes admission, food, and an out-of-uniform pass)
Payment Dates: Monday, March 9 – Wednesday, March 11
Important: No money will be accepted the morning of the event.
Please note that Thursday is a regular school day. Students must arrive on time, and tardies will be issued after 8:05 a.m.
Let’s dress to impress in our Kentucky Derby attire and kick off testing with style and school spirit!
We can’t wait to see everyone there!
