Causey Middle School is proud to welcome Dr. Paul Agnew as the school’s new principal. We are incredibly excited about the experience, leadership, and passion for education that Dr. Agnew brings to our school community.

Dr. Agnew joins Causey with 24 years of experience in education and strong ties to the Baker community. He began his career as a classroom teacher and coach in the Baker High School feeder pattern, where he served for 17 years. He later became Assistant Principal at Dawes Intermediate School before serving the past four years as Principal of Nan Gray Davis Elementary School. His return to the Baker community makes this new role especially meaningful, both professionally and personally.

Dr. Agnew is committed to student success and believes that all students can achieve at high levels when supported by strong relationships, excellent instruction, and meaningful opportunities. He also recognizes the importance of extracurricular activities—including athletics, clubs, and fine arts—in helping students develop leadership, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.

As he begins his time at Causey Middle School, Dr. Agnew looks forward to building on the school’s long-standing tradition of excellence while continuing to foster a positive, supportive environment where all students are challenged and valued. He is eager to partner with families and the community to ensure every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
